Welcome to GeoHomeLab, a personal blog where I explore the intersection between geography and the latest trends in technology and computer science.
About Me
I grew up in the mountains of Southwest Virginia and have always been excited about technology and it’s practical applications. I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and a Masters Degree in Geography and for the past 20 years I’ve been working on the intersection between Geography and Technology. My career started in the NASA Langley DAAC and quickly moved to creating maps for Autonomous Vehicles.
This blog focuses upon my personal experiments and research interests within the realm of Geography, Remotes Sensing, GIS, and Mapping. While my research topics intersect with the autonomous vehicles all of the work presented here will either be my own or come from the large open-source community.
I currently live in Southwest Virginia with my wife and two dogs. In my spare time I enjoy hiking and travel!

Research Interests
Geospatial Data and Data Creation
I have a keen interest in geospatial algorithms and efficient data sharing and processing.
Data Driven Generative AI
The realm of generative AI has opened up a new realm of possibilities multiple disciplines including GIS/Remote Sensing. Creating reliable and verify-able generative AI will be important as we try to ensure that we use this exciting new technology appropriately.
Open-Source Exploration
I’m always interested in new open-source projects and technologies. I love to play around and experiement and contribute to things.
